I had the opportunity today to review a new book by Maria Balcells on painting spring flowers in Watercolors. And it was a pleasure to review it, and I will go back to it often.

She takes you through several step by step tutorials on painting a variety of spring flowers, and her instruction is very concise and helpful, guiding you through each step from start to finish.

The 105 page book is packed with basic information on all the materials you will need, with a wealth of information on how to use Watercolors, and gives very precise information on avoiding the pitfalls that you may encounter.

I really found it very inspirational, and can't wait to get painting tomorrow, as I have my own treasure trove of spring flowers to use as subject matter.

This book is something every watercolor artist must have in their library.
